Since I first read The Family of Man with photographs by Edward Steichen in 1956, I was fascinated with the idea of exploring the unity of human experience all over the world. My interests in history, geography, culture, mythology, philosophy, design, and crafts have been an essential part of my travel experience. I loved sharing travel with family, friends, and students.
